Hello again and thank you all for your answers. It was very much so, the files needed to be located in /lib/firmware. When I copied them there they loaded properly. Isn't it strange how you tend to solve problems right after you hit the send button to ask for help?
What confused me was that there was a folder /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware right from the Gentoo 2006.0 installation and since the firmware howto stated that the files should be located there for the 0.4.3 drivers I naturally assumed that they should be there. Then I tried /lib/modules as well but that didn't work either. Anyway, it works now. Now I have a new problem with latency but I put that in a new posting. Been a while since I've read the docs, but I seem to remember it being mentioned somewhere. _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
