I'll have to look up the exact frequencies tonight, but so far it only 
occurs in
low-band VHF channels that overlap the coverage of the FM tuner (65-108 
MHz). Note that I don't have any signal to test with on cable channels 
95-99, which
are the channels that cover the very upper end of that frequency band, so I
have no way of telling whether there is a "brick wall" boundary or gradual
degradation with reduction in frequency.

Ah.  Have you seen whether the driver communicates with any other i2c 
chips when
changing TV channels, especially around the 108 MHz region?
