Of course it doesn't work. The ivtv drivers in the mandriva kernel
are old and unmaintained. I (as a mandriva contributor) cannot
remove them from the kernel, and the kernel maintainer refuses to
remove them, or maintain them. See:

Please install the dkms-ivtv-stable package for kernel drivers that
should work.
