and the very next line says:

ivtv stable version 0.6.1 released (ChangeLog). This release is for
the 2.6.16 kernel ONLY. Note: the default kernel with Fedora Core 5
says it is a 2.6.15 kernel, but in fact it is a 2.6.16-rc6 kernel. So
for FC5 you should also use this ivtv driver. For older kernels use
the 0.4.x series.
