I guess it would be a good time to go into my setup. I'm running a dedicated Myth backend with a PVR500 and an Xbox frontend using xbmcmyth. I've got no sound card in the backend and am not running ALSA. As far as additional config, I'm not sure what to provide, so just ask and I'll be happy to gather the additional info.
