Well, as I said, everything works flawlessly under Linux 2.6.15 + ivtv
0.4.3. (If I boot my old 2.6.15 kernel, it all works fine again.)

This suggests that the problem lies elsewhere. I would definitely
interpret that as that everything is hooked up properly and that the
card and cables are good.

I have tried both ivtv-tune -t europe-west -c <whatever is appropriate>,
and using the -f <appropriate frequency>, these both work as they should
under 0.4.3, but the exact same commands give no "Signal detected"
output under 0.6.1, and obviously there is the problem with the complete
lack of picture and audio in the actual MPEG stream.

It looks comparable to yours, but I have a different tuner (Philips),
and my card does PAL rather than NTSC.
