Hi Michael,

Thanks for having a look at this.

I added the 'option ivtv tuner=50' to the modprobe.conf file. Unfortunately, still no luck. I tried a couple of other tuner numbers.

The dmesg output is basically the same as before. Except the 'option ivtv tuner=x" line in the modprobe file causes the message:

tuner 1-0061: tuner type not set
tuner 1-0061: tuner type not set

to appear a second time at the very end of the dmesg output.

BTW I took the time to install the PVR150 on the W2K partition of my machine last night. It (the card that is) seems to have a good looking picture - nice and clear. For some reason it's only giving mono output though...

The PVR150 doesn't look as good as the tuner card on the ATI ;-(

Ted.

go ahead and add:
option ivtv tuner=50
to you modprobe.conf or else your modules.d/ivtv file, i can't recall
offhand which way fedora does it, and that should get it working. Let me
know about the picture quality you get with the tuner tho, as Ive got the
same card and am havin some issues, and am tryin to narrow them down to
either software or a physical problem with my card

So I got this WinTV PVR 150, and haven't had much luck getting it going. I can't see any TV in TV Time, or in Xine. And there's this error in the dmesg output about 'Tuner type not set'
