What input are you trying to use? Tuner, S-Video 1/2, Composite 1/2? I think it defaults to tuner but you can change it with
ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -p <input>
where input is one of the elements listed with
ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -P
also you can
ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 --log-status

Hello,
Im sort of new at myth tv, i used to run gbpvr but changed to myth. But i have run into some trouble. I dont really know what to do now
this command just yeilds a mpeg file that is empty, well all black, and the movie is captured at a high bit rate, it reminds me of windows when i used a pvr 350 entry for a pvr 500 card
cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/test_capture.mpg
to me everything looks allright, i have the devices and they seem to produce an mpeg stream, atleast according to mplayer
im sure that my problem is purely a switch somewhere that i have forgotten to set or something, i do have a twinhan cab-ci card installed aswell
Can anyone help me, im lost at the moment :(
