I know this is a bit off-topic, but I figure that it's probably something
that a lot of us deal with (at least those with multiple tuners).
I've got three PVR-150s, and an amplifier/splitter driving them. Actually,
one card gets driven directly, and the other two feeds go to cable converter
boxes. I'm finding that I don't have as good a signal as I'd like for many
of the channels, and the premium channels (which have to be
decoded/reconstructed by the cable boxes) often have digital artifacts.
The amplifier I'm using is a cheap $30 unit from Fry's.
Is my problem that I need a better amplifier, or is there something else I
should be looking at? (I've already had the cable company come and change
the line to the house (it got water in it) and check the signal strength
getting to the amp.)
