This looks similar to, but not exactly the same as, a number of previous
posts. But I have spent quite a bit of time reading old posts and trying
to make this work, without success. I am running FC5 with ivtv
installed via ATrpms, I am running the latest kernel and latest
ivtv-kmdl packages (2.6.16-1.2122_FC5). I am using (trying to use) a
PVR-150 card, which worked fine before I upgraded from FC3. The IR
portion of the card also works fine under FC5 with lirc. I have checked
the following:
1) The cx28540 module is loaded (lsmod output included)
2) The firmware is loaded (ivtv dmesg output included)
3) There are no conflicting modules (only one ivtv, tveeprom, cx285340
exists under /lib/modules/`uname -r`)
4) The card is known good and properly seated
5) The tuner type appears to be set correctly
6) I have no lines in modprobe.conf that are relevant to any of the
ivtv-related modules (included)
But I am getting the dreaded "i2c hardware 0x00000001 not found for
command" error, and of course nothing works. If I try to use this
capture card via "cat /dev/video0" (so that I can rule out any MythTV
configuration issues), I just get an empty file. Here are the logs, if
anybody can help me I would really appreciate it. BTW, a PVR-500 card
temporarily placed into the same computer did work, but the PVR-150 will
not.
