sledgehammer's watchit.py is exactly what I want most to do.  I've a PVR 150 and a WinTV GO in the same box.  WinTV GO is bttv and works on /dev/video0.  I'm running Ubuntu 6.06 AMD64.  I've yet to get my PVR 150 working but believe I may be close.  The firmware has been placed in /lib/firmware -- the only firmware directory on my system.  I have gxine installed and can run "ivtv-tune -l" and get the channels, frequencies and the fact I'm "us-cable."  bttv has attached itself to /dev/video0.  My next unknown is how do I set which mount point for my PVR 150?

Have a great day -- George

For those who just want to watch TV with their PVR-xxx:
There is a small python script I wrote for my own needs
that can be used as a graphical front-end to ivtv-tune.
You must have ivtv running and gxine in your path, and
you may have to set the correct device and region in
the configuration section of the script.
You find it at http://home.arcor.de/j.sprave/watchit.py
