Ross, In the recent past I did not always have good results with ATrpms. Due to late update of drivers for new kernels or wrong updates of software missing some key parts, like Asterisk missing the sip part. Therefore I do not use yum and atrpms to keep my ivtv up to date. Second the manual does not describe how to install LIRC. I know not part of IvTv but needed for infrared. And yes it is another manual that anyone can and may use it as they like I keep it for my own reference. Michel.
