I have the following lines in my modprobe.conf
    # ivtv modules setup
    alias char-major-81 videodev
    alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
    install ivtv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ivtv; /sbin/modprobe
ivtv-fb

This is per the mythtv howto on http://www.wilsonet.com.
Doesn't that last line get ivtv-fb taken care of?

Now I am not a linux wiz, so I added install ivtv-fb to the modprobe.conf
and also entered # /sbin/modprobe intv-fb in the shell.
# /sbin/modprobe ivtv takes a short time to execute, and #
/sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb is instantaionous.

I tried the old cntl-alt-backspace and came up with the same error.

Is there something wrong with my logic?
Would it help to post my modprob.conf?

I can watch tv on the PVR-350 output using the command line, and get a
test screen and all that, but just an't get X over there.

Thanks,
Ken
