Hi

I use Fedora Core 5 with x86_64. I have used the instruction from Jarod Wilson website http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php#capture
You don't have to put anything ivtv into the modprobe.conf. Everythink is autodectected. Have you tried shutting down the computer and take out the power for 30 sec and the start up. I think the stable ivtv version from the rpms.net are ivtv 0.7.0.

You must post the ivtv dmesg message because you don't mention which version of ivtv you use. Try dmesg | grep ivtv

Bad news.

After setting up AtRPMS and performing these steps:

It results in kernel lockup for both the old and new kernels on a x86_64
running Fedora Core 5.  Looks like I'll have to re-install.
