Hello!

I'm using a PVR350 (ivtv 0.4.5, 2.6.14-smp)

If I capture video from composite-IN around 1/4 of the picture is
black at the top for a moment, also in the most simplest form
(cat /dev/video32 > /dev/video48). This occures around every second.
If I unload the ivtv kernel-module and load it again the picture is
ok. But if I change a few times between the MPEG- and the raw-stream
this problem occures again.

Playing an mpeg-video works great (cat video.mpg > /dev/video16),
also with the patched mplayer with -vo ivtv everything is fine.

Can someone reproduce that too with the composite-input?
Any ideas what is causing this black area?

Another thing I'm wondering about are the quality differences between
video0 > video16 and video32 > video48. The raw-stream looks not so
good as the MPEG-stream. It looks like the raw stream is a half-picture
(from interlacing), scaled to a full PAL-frame by interpolation. I set
everything to PAL with ivtvctl.

thank you
lukas
