I don't have a windows machine at home, so I unfortunately can't test it on another box.
I do have an amp which does improve it a little, but still too much static for my discerning taste, and my wife will not have it. :) I've plugged my cable directly into my TV (which I presume has it's own amp) and everything is clear, so I don't think it's the signal. I also have an HD card (hd5000) in the same computer. When I test it without the amp and without splitting it, those few HD channels I get come through with no static at all, too. I'm about to tear this box down and give up on the MythTV dream for now. Instead of hucking this tuner down the street, I'd be more than willing to donate it to the IVTV driver team, if anyone wants a physical specimen of the 500 with the Samsung tuners. If someone wants to write me in private with an address I can send it out by the end of the week. -Matt On Mon, 31 Jul 2006 11:31:41 -0700, Hans Verkuil <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Monday 31 July 2006 09:43, MattyJ wrote: >> I just wanted to add some info to this thread.
