Looks like you do not have all the modules in the right place
ivtv0: Failed to load module tuner
ivtv0: Failed to load module tda9887
ivtv0: Failed to load module saa7115
ivtv0: Failed to load module msp3400
Try to find them for your running kernel: find /lib/modules/ -name
tuner.ko
If they do not exist recompile your kernel and include them as modules.
Regards,
Michel.

Technically I've been having this exact same problem since
upgrading
from a 2.6.12 kernel (for other hardware) and leaving ivtv 0.4.0.
Any help would be appreciated, I've pretty much exhausted all other
avenues of support I could find.
Anyway, here's the results of a modprobe from dmesg:

It all seems to stemp from the ivtv0: Failed to load module tveeprom
line. For whatever reason tveeprom appears to load and actually
does something after that line regardless of this message. Here's
my lsmod:

As you can see tveeprom does actually load and is used by ivtv.
However the other 4 modules that ivtv is supposed to load don't.
tuner, tda9887, saa7115, and msp3400.
Thanks in advance!
