List, I am using 2 PVR-250's and so far, all I can get to work is video (video works on both), no audio (on either).
I followed instructions from: http://s91928265.onlinehome.us/hfamily/mythtv/myth_ubuntu.html and http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Howto:Ubuntu Both are very similar, and both fail. My dmesg is: [17179590.432000] ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== [17179590.432000] ivtv: version 0.4.6 (tagged release) loading [17179590.432000] ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.15-26-386 preempt 486 gcc-4.0 [17179590.432000] ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info between [17179590.432000] ivtv: the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines, along with [17179590.432000] ivtv: any module options, when mailing the ivtv-users mailinglist. The biggest thing I notice: [17179590.888000] ivtv0: Failed to load module msp3400 After some research, I read that msp3400 has everything to do with audio. However, I cannot figure out how to fix it. ivtv-0.4.6/driver/ contains two files, msp3400.c and msp3400.h but no msp3400.ko. It does not re-create them in /lib/modules/2.6.15-26-386/kernel/drivers/video, nor does it create them in /lib/firmware or ivtv-0.4.6/driver/. Another thing I notice: # ivtvctl -y volume=5400 -d /dev/video0 ioctl VIDIOC_S_CTRL ok # ivtvctl -Y -d /dev/video0 ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL Brightness = 127 Contrast = 63 Saturation = 63 Hue = 0 Volume = 0 Mute = 0 Even after trying to set the volume manually, theres no change (/dev/video1 does the same thing). Im testing via the cat /dev/videoX > test.mpg method. Thank you in advance, Matt -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
