I have still been getting DMA errors since upgrading to ivtv 0.7.1, though the patch has made it possible for me to record without visible artifacts.
In trying to troubleshoot this problem I have noticed that I will get the artifacts and mythTV will crash If i watch liveTV, but recording by itself is not usually a problem. (The DMA errors still show up in dmesg, but they are not as numerous) However mythbackend does crash from time to time, even when I am not watching during recording (or doing anything for that matter). In an attempt to rectify this problem i tried recompiling my kernel without support for frequency scaling, still no luck. If anyone could suggest anything more i could try to enable watching live tv (and prevent backend crashes) that would be awesome.
