Hi

I had just upgraded to a kernel.org 2.6.18.2 kernel(after also trying
with some of the gentoo patched kernels) and ivtv 0.8.0 & 0.8.1

I can load the ivtv module just fine, but when reading from the video0
video1 devices on my pvr-500 using xine pvr:// or using mythtv my
machine locks-up and I have to unplug the power and power it up
again. Some times I manage to see some of the signal before the lockup
and then there is artifacts in the picture

I am using a Via Epia sp8000 board, and I believe there maybe could be
a DMA problem with this board.

I have just tried using the Test driver announced on this list(saw it
in the archive), and that partially solves my problems..Now my machine
doesn't lock up at all and I also have much less artifatcs in the
picture, but still to many, and some times it seems the stream pauses
for a short moment

Anoyone have any experience with this? and maybe got this to work?

Regards
Hasse Johansen
