You can probably force it with modprobe -f > > dmesg states: > > ivtv: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag. > ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_unregister_device > ivtv: Unknown symbol video_unregister_device > ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_device_alloc > ivtv: Unknown symbol video_device_alloc > ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_register_device > ivtv: Unknown symbol video_register_device > ivtv: disagrees about version of symbol video_device_release > ivtv: Unknown symbol video_device_release This happens when the ivtv module is not build against the same version kernel you are running. Make sure that it builds against the kernel version you are running. Optionally you can set where ivtv looks for the kernel source by using KDIR=/path/to/kernel_source. Example: KDIR=/path/to/kernel_source make KDIR=/path/to/kernel_source make install > > > I googled, read through the howto, troubleshooting, README, README.install. > No luck. > > Any help would be much appreciated. > Greets Sander _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
