Hi!
I'm using Gentoo with kernel 2.6.19 (r5) with a Hauppauge PVR-350.
I've already found out, that I have this special tuner (type 38), so
I added "options ivtv tuner=38" to my "/etc/modules.d/ivtv". There
are no errors when modprobing ivtv and the antenna cable is working
fine (tested it with a tv-set).
The card is being detected correctly and listed in lspci:

Testing the card:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------
router ~ # ivtv-tune -cE7
/dev/video0: 189.250 MHz (Signal Detected)
router ~ # cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg
router ~ # du test.mpg
0 test.mpg
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------
ivtv-tune says "Signal Detected" but as you can see, the file
test.mpg remains empty, no matter how long I let the cat-stuff running.
Dunno if it helps, but here is part of the mythtvbackend-log:
