When I grep any of my recent syslogs for "IVTV" I get no output, so I tried 
with "ivtv" and I basically only get the messages that appear during startup, 
which I'll include below.

Re: Ward's post. Interesting that we both have older PVR cards... my 250 and 
350 are about three years old. Plus, like him, I'm pretty sure I was using an 
older version of ivtv with no problems... it's only after I upgraded to the 
latest version of KnoppMyth (which included a more-recent version of ivtv) that 
the problem arose. 

Also, I can't say for sure that BOTH my 250 and 350 are showing the problem as 
I don't know the best way to determine which recording was made on which card. 
I'll have to try to set up some recordings on some problem channels so that 
both are recording simultaneously.

Here's my results for '/var/log/syslog | grep ivtv' on a syslog where I 
rebooted my backend. It looks like the same info from dmesg with some slight 
differences.
