Do you mean rebooting the PC running mythtvbackend, or restarting the mythtvbackend process? There are some fixes queued for a 2.6.22 dot release, but the easiest way is to compile the latest and greatest version yourself. Get these sources: http://www.linuxtv.org/hg/~hverkuil/v4l-dvb/archive/tip.tar.bz2 Then either compile it all or run 'make menuconfig' first to select only those v4l-dvb drivers you really need. Run 'make install' as root and you now have the latest ivtv version. If this does not help, then enable logging with 'ivtvctl -D479' and see if that gives some useful logging. If that doesn't help either, then use ivtvctl -D991 to get much more logging and mail me the, say, 1000 lines before the capture stopped working.
