Fx,
That wavy noise on the bottom 3-4 lines of the picture are caused by
head switching. They are normal from any VCRs. The reason you don't see
it on your tv is that there is overscan on your tv. That is, about 10%
of the image is cut off on your tv. I don't know of any driver options
to crop the picture, only in Mythtv while playing back.
