Hello ... have been reading the lists and hacking away trying to get
my mythbox back up and running. I have had really good luck with FC5
for some time now with PVR-350 output (thank you to the ivtv
developers for this) but needed to upgrade to FC6 (for mythtv SD
support) due to the zap2it closure/SD transition.

Anyway ... I got to this point after downloading the 2.6.22.5 kernel
source and manually building ivtv_fb.ko:

(II) IVTVDEV_TST: driver for framebuffer: PVR-350
(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0
(WW) ivtvdev: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0:10:0) found
(--) Chipset PVR-350 found
(EE) ivtvHWProvbe failed to do IVTVFB_IOCTL_GET_STATE for device /dev/fb0
(EE) Screen 0 deleted because of no matching config section.
(II) UnloadModule: "ivtvdev"
(EE) Device(s) detected, but none match those in the config file.

I read another post that said in order to use the PVR-350 output I
would need to manually compile mythtv and do a bunch of other
undocumented stuff or somehow use an older kernel ...

I tried downgrading my kernel to 2.6.19-1.2895.fc6 per another message
on this board ... managed (somehow) to get that installed using yum,
modified my grub.conf and rebooted ok.

I figured I would try to rebuild ivtv against the downgraded kernel as
I am out of pre-built package land but yum won't let me install the
rpm I downloaded ... I tried:

yum --obsoletes localinstall kernel-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6.src.rpm

but just get a "does not update installed package" and nothing happens.

Can anyone advise on the path of least resistance to getting my
PVR-350 decoder output to work again with the ivtv drivers from where
I am at now? What are my options? Are pre-packaged ivtv_fb modules
coming soon?

Thanks,

-Mike
