Ok, sorry to bump this thread, but I just cannot get this card working. I've
been trying everything I could think of. I tested and replaced ram,
motherboard, cpu, graphic card, I've tried the card with several distributions
and kernel-versions (including ubuntu feisty, gutsy testing, arch
current/testing, debian etch/testing,...). Anyway, the problem persists.

I have image and sound for every cable channel available, however I experience
heavy flickering. It doesn't make a difference if I watch tv using mythtv or
via mplayer or if I just redirect the output of /dev/video0 to an mpg video
file and watch it with mplayer/vlc.

I don't know what else I should try. I am 100% sure that it is an ivtv problem,
because the card works just fine (no flickering at all) in Windows Xp.

I attach the output of dmesg |grep ivtv on ubuntu gutsy beta. The card is
initialized fine, perhaps the only interesting thing is the difference between
encoder revision and recommended firmware version. However, using other
distributions, I didn't observe this message.

provide it.

Thx!
