Just tried both of those and neither made a difference in the tveeprom
messages.  If the curiosity is nagging you and you have anything else
you want me to try, I don't mind.  Could any changes in I2C module
configuration make a difference?  Do you have a tool to dump the full
eeprom to see how it's corrupt or being read wrong?

As far as I'm concerned though, it seems to work and I don't want to eat
up any more of your time.
