I tell MythTV the HVR-1600 is a PVR-150. Sound works for me. > I selected MPEG-2 encoder card and it works but there is no sound. Try turning up the volume. The cx18 driver currently uses only mono Audio Frequency sound from the tuner (with no amplification, IIRC). The driver needs to be fixed to decode stereo from the Sound IF from the tuner like ivtv does. Until then you should notice that sound from cx18 is mono and softer than sound from ivtv.
