Thanks for the info. I'm trying to stick with the Debian stable (etch)
kernel (2.6.17) so I think I'm stuck for a while. Shortly after ivtv was
moved to the v4l repository I was able to build and install the modules
from there even on my 2.6.17 kernel, but that no longer works. I managed
to provoke a kernel oops trying to do so :).  Guess I'll stick with XV
for the time being.
