Not yet - but I only finished writing it last night ;-)

Well, we will see.  I submited a patch back in 2005, but there wasn't a
lot of enthusiasm to include it.  I think the problem is that it constitutes
quite a material change to a complex area of the code.

My outline plan is to add a new command line switch to activate the new
'ivtv' behaviour.  Maybe this will reduce the concerns.

Do you know who the developers of IVTV are, by the way?
