Just to keep the list up to date please note that I have added some fairly significant enhancements to my previous ivtv patch for dvdauthor 0.6.14.
The new patch is available from the ivtvdriver.org wiki. Further to the suggestion below I have now mailed the patch to the dvdauthor developer Scott Smith in the hope that it will be included in the next release of dvdauthor.
