Right, modinfo is a command, usually in the /sbin directory and cx18 is the argument. If you read the man page for modinfo, you'll se it will list all the parameter/options a module understands. > >> Figure out how many MiB of address space is used currently for >> VmallocTotal, >> > I think that total is listed above. > Covert the number of byte in to MiB (divide by 1024 twice). >> add 128M to that value, and use the result for your >> 'vmalloc=xxxM' option on your kernel command line. >> > Huh? It's the line that starts "kernel" in grub.conf For lilo find the "append = string" option in the man page > Replying to this letter is as complicated as learning how to make my > computer work :-) > When you reply please delete none relevant lines. I've been on different linux lists, for X11 development to kernel development over the last 11+ years and never saw anyone with you attitude get much help. I suspect Andy has a reason for quoting the information he does. -Thomas _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
