Hey all... I have a nicely running mythtv box with a pvr-350 and 2
pvr-150s based on knoppmyth.... recently (after putting the 2 pvr-150s n
it) suddenly the video got all messed up (a couple of times it goes all
green, another time it went black and white... hard to describe but I
can post an image if needed). It was not only the played programs but
also the menu and all video.

In dmesg I see:

[snip]
ivtv1: Loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (376836 bytes)
ivtv1: Encoder revision: 0x02060039
cx25840 3-0044: loaded v4l-cx25840.fw firmware (16382 bytes)

[and on, and on]

The only way to get out of it is to reboot the system, killing and
restarting X doesn't do it.

The only info in the mailing list archive is a bit inconclusive...
anyone have any ideas? I'm entertaining the idea it might be heat
related, and I can shift the cards around to see if that helps or try a
pci slot fan or something, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

This is a new pvr-350 card using the tv-out to a plasma TV via svideo.
The old card never had any issues like this, but then it's tuner started
recording in poor quality so it was replaced and the 2 150s were added.

TIA all.
