I'm pretty sure some combination of settings should solve your problem, but without direct access to an oscilloscope and the video signal I'm not going to be able to guess what those are. Experience has taught me that, when I don't have the problem device, iterating back and forth in e-mail tweaking one parameter at a time is painful. Since, I've now implemented 1 custom control, adding more should be pretty easy. Give me a few days, and I should have something for you to play with.
