thanks for advice, but even this doesn't work. cd is mounted ad /media/cdrom2/, but: # ./ivtvfwextract.pl /media/cdrom2/ ./ivtvfwextract.pl: Can't open /tmp/ivtvex.6663/hcwpvrp2.sys: No such file or directory only with the downloaded 'pvr250_22_inf.zip', it doesn't worked: # ./ivtvfwextract.pl pvr250_22_inf.zip # now i have in /lib/modules: drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 2 17:57 2.6.9-amd64 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 262144 Jan 3 14:42 ivtv-fw-dec.bin -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 262144 Jan 3 14:42 ivtv-fw-enc.bin thanks again - but with my driver cd it still doesn't work. it doesn't matter for me, but maybe you should mention this in the docs? bye jonas
