Itīs actually with MythTV not recognizing the remote, so itīs not ivtv or lirc. I am not sure this distribution list is the appropriate foum, but I would be glad to forward the e-mail with this issue if you are interested.
Are you using packages or compiling MythTV yourself? You need to compile Myth with LIRC support on. There are two lines in settings.pro which you need to uncomment (don't have the file right now, but it is pretty obvious - lines with LIRC ...)
