I had ivtv working fine with my PVR-350 and MythTV until I attempted to add a pcHDTV HD-3000 to my system. After many unsuccessful attempts at resolving my problems I decided to wipe the system clean and do a fresh install of FC3.
I have tried the default 2.6.9-1.667, 2.6.9 from kernel.org, and an updated 2.6.9-1.724_FC3 kernels. I compiled each one with the necessary pcHDTV patch to support the HD-3000. I've tried ivtv-0.2.0-rc3a, ivtv-0.2.0-rc3d, and ivtv-0.3.2b. With each kernel and version of ivtv, my problems have been the same. When doing "modprobe ivtv" I'm seeing the following lines in dmesg that I think I should be most concerned with: tveeprom: Encountered bad packet header [04]. Corrupt or not a Hauppauge eeprom. ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x50 not found! ivtv: Error -19 reading Hauppauge eeprom. I have made sure that the emprom module is not loading and that I have the extracted firmware in /lib/modules. I am only attempting to use the PVR-350 as a tuner/encoder and not TV-out. What else could be causing these problems??? The problem continues. I have even tried kernel 2.6.7 and have not even patched the kernel or installed the pcHDTV drivers, but both the HD-3000 and PVR-350 cards are physically installed. I'm getting the same errors in dmesg. I am including lspci -v output incase it is helpful. I am unsure if there is a problem with multiple devices, including the PVR-350, sharing IRQ 11. lspci -v : 00:00.0 Host bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 651 Host (rev 02) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 8081 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32 Memory at de000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=32M] Capabilities: [c0] AGP version 2.0 00:01.0 PCI bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] Virtual PCI-to-PCI bridge (AGP) (prog-if 00 [Normal decode]) Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0 Bus: primary=00, secondary=01, subordinate=01, sec-latency=0 I/O behind bridge: 0000d000-0000dfff Memory behind bridge: dd800000-ddffffff Prefetchable memory behind bridge: e8000000-f3ffffff 00:02.0 ISA bridge: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS962 [MuTIOL Media IO] (rev 14) Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0 00:02.1 SMBus: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS961/2 SMBus Controller Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 11 I/O ports at e600 [size=32] 00:02.5 IDE interface: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 5513 [IDE] (prog-if 80 [Master]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 807a Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 128, IRQ 11 I/O ports at a400 [size=16] 00:02.7 Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] Sound Controller (rev a0) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 8095 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 10 I/O ports at 9400 [size=256] I/O ports at 9000 [size=128] Capabilities: [48] Power Management version 2 00:03.0 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 807a Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 4 Memory at dc800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] 00:03.1 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 807a Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 7 Memory at dc000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] 00:03.2 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 1.0 Controller (rev 0f) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 807a Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5 Memory at db800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] 00:03.3 USB Controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] USB 2.0 Controller (prog-if 20 [EHCI]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.: Unknown device 807a Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 10 Memory at db000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2 00:0e.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15 MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01) Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc.
