Can you use pl-tune (or whatever the exact name of the utility in the
ivtv/utils directory) to change the channel? If that does not work, check
if you get a tuner module when you do lsmod. If you don't see tuner even if
ivtv and other related modules are loaded, that probably means you don't
have bttv or i2c support in your kernel. You must compile your kernel using
bttv and i2c to get the tuner module to build and load automatically when
you modprobe ivtv.
good luck

Hi!
I've installed KnoppMyth R5A12, and I'm having trouble tuning. I've done a
scan in windows, so I know what frequencies I should use, but in linux all
I
get is static. I have a PVR 350, the version with SCART output. I'm just
trying to get something in myth/X, I'm not trying tv-out yet. I've read
this
list and tried thousands of options for /etc/modules.conf, but nothing
fixes
it. Here's my dmesg:

I've stripped all options now, so I only have this in modules.conf:
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
All the "ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x40 not found!" worry me, that mean
something isn't loaded right? What might that be? I have tuner, tveeprom,
ivtv, videodev, saa7115 and saa7127 loaded, do I need anything else?
