Hi, I am using ivtv-0.3.2k with a pvr-150 on myth and it took a lot of tinkering, but its mostly working now. Some audio squeal maybe, but I'm not worried about that for the moment.
I have not been able to get lirc to work with the supplied remote yet. I tried the lirc rpms from atrpms, and everything would look like it was working, irw would connect to lircd, but i would not see any output from irw. I am using the lircd.conf from http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/lircd-g3.conf.txt I got lirc-0.7.1pre2 to see if that would work, and basically the same thing. irw will connect, but no output. Any suggestions? lsmod shows: bttv 148753 0 video_buf 21829 1 bttv v4l2_common 5825 1 bttv btcx_risc 4681 1 bttv lirc_i2c 7172 0 lirc_dev 11844 1 lirc_i2c wm8775 9756 0 cx25840 120620 0 tuner 19244 0 tveeprom 11956 0 ivtv 808260 2 i2c_algo_bit 8393 2 bttv, ivtv videodev 9537 4 bttv, ivtv dmesg shows: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== ivtv: version 0.3.2 (k) loading ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4 ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info ivtv: between the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines when ivtv: mailing the ivtv-devel mailinglist. ivtv: Autodetected WinTV PVR 150 card ivtv: Found an iTVC16 based chip ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKB] enabled at IRQ 10 PCI: setting IRQ 10 as level-triggered ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:09.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10 ivtv: Unreasonably low latency timer, setting to 64 (was 32) ivtv: VIA PCI device: 0x0305 vendor: 0x1106 tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 26052, rev = C185, serial# = 7579491 tveeprom: tuner = TCL 2002N 6A (idx = 85, type = 50) tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3410D (type = 5) ivtv: i2c attach [client=tveeprom[0],ok] ivtv: Tuner Type 50, Tuner formats 0x00001000, Radio: yes, Model 0x008d1615, Revision0x00000000 ivtv: NTSC tuner detected ivtv: Radio detected tuner: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones tuner: chip found at addr 0xc2 i2c-bus ivtv i2c driver #0 ivtv: i2c attach [client=(tuner unset),ok] cx25840: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones cx25840: Unable to open FW file '/lib/modules/HcwMakoA.ROM'. cx25840: Failed to load any FW image file ivtv: i2c attach [client=cx25840[0],ok] ivtv: i2c attach [client=wm8775[0],ok] ivtv: Encoder revision: 0x02040024 ivtv: Encoder Firmware may be buggy, use version 0x02040011 ivtv: Configuring WinTV PVR 150 card with 5 streams ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, streamtype 0 minor 0 ivtv: Create DMA stream 0 using 1024 16384 byte buffers 0 kbytes total ivtv: Allocate DMA stream 0 using 1024 16384 byte buffers 16777216 kbytes total ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, streamtype 1 minor 32 ivtv: Create DMA stream 1 ivtv: Allocate DMA stream 1 ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, streamtype 2 minor 224 ivtv: Create stream 2 using 40 52224 byte buffers 0 kbytes total ivtv: Allocate stream 2 using 40 52224 byte buffers 2097152 kbytes total ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, streamtype 3 minor 24 ivtv: Create DMA stream 3 using 455 4608 byte buffers 0 kbytes total ivtv: Allocate DMA stream 3 using 455 4608 byte buffers 2097152 kbytes total ivtv: Registered v4l2 device, streamtype 4 minor 64 ivtv: Create stream 4 ivtv: Allocate stream 4 ivtv: Setting Tuner 50 tuner: type set to 50 (TCL 2002N) by ivtv i2c driver #0 ivtv: Switching standard to NTSC. ivtv: Initialized WinTV PVR 150, card #0 ivtv: ==================== END INIT IVTV ==================== lirc_dev: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel tainted. lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61 ivtv: ivtv_enc_thread: pid = 4429, itv = 0xf0cf3ca0 bttv: driver version 0.9.15 loaded bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture cx25840: Decoder set size 720x480 (from 720x487) -> scale 0x65529, filter 0 Does "kernel tainted" mean anything I should be concerned about? Also, mode2 will not open /dev/lircd and gives the error: mode2: error opening /dev/lircd mode2: No such device or address I don't know if that is important. Thanks for any input! Let me know if I left out any necessary details. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: 2005 Windows Mobile Application Contest Submit applications for Windows Mobile(tm)-based Pocket PCs or Smartphones for the chance to win $25,000 and application distribution.
