I cannot seem to get ivtv working with gentoo's series of 2.6.11
kernels. I am using the gentoo ivtv package version ivtv-0.2.0_rc3-r4.
It has worked for _years_ now but suddenly won't modprobe. Here is what
I get:

# modprobe ivtv
WARNING: Error inserting i2c_core
(/lib/modules/2.6.11-gentoo-r8/kernel/drivers/i2c/i2c-core.ko): Unknown
symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
WARNING: Error inserting i2c_algo_bit
(/lib/modules/2.6.11-gentoo-r8/kernel/drivers/i2c/algos/i2c-algo-bit.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
FATAL: Error inserting ivtv
(/lib/modules/2.6.11-gentoo-r8/extra/ivtv.ko): Unknown symbol in module,
or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

dmesg shows:
Linux video capture interface: v1.00
i2c_core: Unknown parameter `i2c_debug'
i2c_algo_bit: Unknown symbol i2c_del_adapter
i2c_algo_bit: Unknown symbol i2c_add_adapter
ivtv: Unknown symbol i2c_bit_add_bus
ivtv: Unknown symbol i2c_bit_del_bus

I've checked and rechecked everthing in the kernel config for I2C and
everything seems fine to me. Like I said, it worked with all of the
previous kernels (as early as 2.4.x) with the same .config. Does anyone
have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks for your time.
