I had to do this: options ivtv tuner=47 debug=0 options tuner type=47 the key is to pass 'type=<num>' _also_ to tuner.  I've been told this is not necessary, but I always needed it.  I see from your probing below, your tuner type is 47, so use 47 - I changed my example to use your numbers just in case.
