Trying to install a PVR-500 along with a PVR-350 on a system that is to run mythtv 18.1 from the ATRPMs repo. Using ivtv 0.3.7k driver.
The PVR-350 and the first tuner on the PVR-500 seem to work as expected. Unable to get the second tuner to capture any thing. When I run the command: ivtvctl -a -d /dev/video2 Video standard = 0x00003000 ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL Brightness = 0 Contrast = 0 Saturation = -2146937321 Hue = -1072070410 Volume = 0 Mute = 0 /dev/video1 gives what appears to be valid results: ioctl: VIDIOC_QUERYCTRL Brightness = 128 Contrast = 64 Saturation = 64 Hue = 0 Volume = 60928 Mute = 0 Attempts to change the settings for Brightness, Saturation or other options does not work. ivtvctl -d /dev/video2 --set-ctrl=brightness=128 ioctl VIDIOC_S_CTRL ok Get the following error message in /var/log/messages: Sep 16 17:21:28 terraslave kernel: ivtv warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x80446468! Sep 16 17:21:28 terraslave kernel: ivtv warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x400e6407! On the mythtv list there are other people seeing similar errors. Suspicion is that there is a batch of bad PVR-500 cards. Is there any other testing that can be done to verify that it is a bad card? Or is there a configuration option that I missed in setting this card up? ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
