Xavier Hanin commented on IVY-373:
----------------------------------
I see this problem even larger than only during resolve. The problem is that
Ivy can be used in different contexts, sometime you have only a limited number
of modules, sometime you have a lot, sometime you need more information to
setup your ivy environment, sometime you only need a very basic output.
What I would like to see is some kind of pluggable mechanisms to control the
output, with different profiles. Then you could select the profile you like the
most, or create a new one if you need fine control over the output. What do you
think?
> Add options to control output of <ivy:resolve>

> The <ivy:resolve> task creates very long output sometimes. It would be nice
> to suppress this output (unless ant is run in verbose) mode. It would also
> be helpful if there were an option to sort the list of modules by
> organization and name instead of just listing them as they are resolved; this
> would make it much easier to scan the output to determine which version of a
> particular module is in use.
