Hi,

Tomorrow the vote on [EMAIL PROTECTED] will get the 72 hours, so if nobody
puts a -1 until then, we will have our first official release in the
Apache incubator!

But then, what do we have to do next, and how?

I think we need to upload the release to some particular official
location, but I don't know where and if I have the appropriate rights.

Then we need to update the web site, with instructions to download this release.

We also need to make an announcement, but first we need to prepare it.
I'm not very good at dealing with this kind of thing, so any help is
welcome.

Here is a first attempt:
------------------------------------------------------
April 26 2007 - The Ivy incubator project is please to announce its
2.0.0 alpha 1 release, exactly two years after Ivy 1.0!

This is the first release of Ivy in the Apache incubator, and as an
alpha version we do not guarantee any stability, that API and features
are still likely to change until final 2.0.0 version, and thus we do
not encourage the use of this version, except for very early testing.

Download the 2.0.0 alpha 1 release files and view the release notes at:
http://people.apache.org/dist/[put correct directory here]

More information can be found on the Ivy website -

regards,
Xavier Hanin (2.0.0-alpha-1 release mgr)
