Not releasing on Maven central only creates an impediment to pick up

Hi all,
I've a bit of a further suggestion, that its probably not
appropriate to release future Xerces-J binaries on Maven central
[1], but to be released only on the xerces.apache.org
<http://xerces.apache.org> site.
The reasoning for this [1] could be that, the JDK itself has
numerous Xerces-J derived Java classes (albeit, they're prefixed
with com.sun.*). Since we're maintaining Java components that JDK
itself uses, its better not to release on Maven central.
Yes, but supporting a higher JDK version (1.7/1.8 to start with)
at our build time, is definitely needed I believe.
