I still agree with your arguments not to support Java 5, but if it's as
easy as removing String.isEmpty() usages, it's fine with me. I thought you
had to compile against a Java 5 JDK in order to check compatibility, since
the problem is sometimes with API coverage and not with language level
(isEmpty() vs. the @Override annotation). Or does Eclipse have some magic
that addresses this?

As far as I know, Java 5 isn't even packaged any more in Fedora, and Oracle
requires a login for downloading old versions, so it's not very convenient.
