Hi , (first post in the Jabref Mailing list) I have been working with electronic bibliography since Wordperfect 4.0 and biblio. At the beginning I had a numeric key for entries. Meanwhile I like the pybliography style which has the abreviation of the lastname for 3 authors and then a + when there are more authors, the end is done by the Year in abbreviated form: 2014 becomes 14. Today I discoverd in the Preferences the key pattern and I wonder whether it is possible to generate keys to my liking.
A citation like Acampora, D.; Postiglione, M. P.; Avantaggiato, V.; Di Bonito, M.; Vaccarino, F. M.; Michaud, J. & Simeone, A. Progressive impairment of developing neuroendocrine cell lineages in the hypothalamus of mice lacking the Orthopedia gene. /Genes Dev, /*1999*/, 13/, 2787-2800 would get the key APA+99. How to do that automatically? Kind regards Bernhard
