just found what was wrong, it was on our side at some places we do
Thread.currentThread().interrupt(), because the test wasn't in a different
thread it ended up messing up the coverage session.

I'm sorry for bothering you with that issue, because the problem was on our
side, but I'm very thankful for your input which helped me a lot finding
the problem source and the solution.
