I did try the imx-jailhouse repo (both imx_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga and
imx_4.14.62_1.0.0_beta branches), but neither compile out of the box. I don't
know if it is worth it for me to dig into what caused that. I'll continue to
see if I
can get the memory reservation right first at least.
Maybe it's worth considering to add support for one (or more) i.MX8 board to
jailhouse-images. That would be most convenient for beginners. Needs
someone with a board at hand, though.
Should upstream Linux kernel be used or we could use NXP vendor tree?
Default is upstream (well, the jailhouse branch from 4.19 upstream), also in
order to share the build with other ARM64 boards. But if upstream should not
boot or lack essential features, we could deviate.
What are the remaining differences in your tree? Maybe carrying a few patches
may work as well.
